Photographs 1968-1969; 1972, 1976

This series comprises 73 black & white and color photographs depicting exteriors and interior shots of the deaconess center of the Deaconess Community of the Lutheran Church in America (LCA) located in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania. The photographs are from 1968-1976 with the bulk dating from 1968-1969. Images depict interior spaces of the deaconess center as well as exterior shots of the center's grounds. The bulk of the photographs pertain to the retired sisters' residence addition. There is one folder of 8x10 black and white photographs taken during the construction phase. It appears that the construction company building the addition gave these photographs to the deaconess community. Each of these photographs is date stamped on the back "Received Boyd-Mulford Construction Co." Other photographs pertaining to the addition are a few shots of the addition's interior and several documenting the addition's dedication service. Commercial photographer, Joseph MacGregor, Springfield, Pennsylvania, took the photographs of the dedication.
